Senior's Ministry

This ministry was organized at the beginning of 2009 to meet the needs of those ages 60 and over. They affectionally call themselves The Coneys. The motto of the group is Trust in God and the Key Scripture is Psalms 7:1.

Some of the events that have already take in place are

• spring senior's retreat at Fort Caswell
• collecting food for the Baptist Children's Home
• Senior Day Celebration

In April of 2009, Shoreline held their first Senior Day Celebration. It was complete with programs, a senior choir, and a dinner after word.

The most important thing that we offer is our weekly meetings. These meetings are held every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. During this time, we have a Bible study and prayer time. It is also during this time that plans are made for future events. Several of the things that we are hoping to offer include a program on physical fitness and identify theft. We are also intending to attend concerts and possibly a retreat in the fall.
